In what might be one of the biggest announcements all year, Microsoft unveiled plans to bring Windows 10 to ARM, with full x86 emulation next year. It'll fun on processors from Snapdragon, making it phone-capable. Microsoft also announced a bunch of new hardware advances for Windows 10 PCs that will benefit Home Hub, and new VR experiences too. The next couple of years will be very interesting for Windows 10 fans, if only because Microsoft is working on a new design language for Redstone 3 and Redstone 4 that aims to fix the current design languages inconsistencies and bring fluid animations and transitions to the interface. So Lumia is all but dead. But that doesn't mean that Windows 10 Mobile is dead. If anything, it's getting primed to thrive… after a bit of a refocusing. Devices like the HP Elite x3 should be all the evidence you need: Windows phone isn't going away, but it will also never be the same.
